On Tuesday, a development program named Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprise (SCORE) have been signed by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Doris Leuthard, for the improvement and development of the production, quality and working conditions of the small businesses in Indonesia.

The Swiss Government has funded the SCORE program which is in coordination with the International Organization, costing at US $5 million across various countries like Indonesia, China, South Africa and Vietnam.

The President Leuthard has said that “Switzerland’s growth in the productivity and competition, does not effect or decline its long history of social freedom and the efficient measures of high standards can be accomplished only with comprehensive workforce participation.”

Manpower and Transmigration minister has delightfully expressed his gratitude to the Swiss government for its help towards the working forced and has also announced that “in Indonesia, there are 70% of workers who are employed formally by the Small and Medium Enterprises but the matter of concern is still of the quality of the employment.”
